I think you are exaggerating both the legacy media's digs at AOC, and their lack of attention to Trump's stupidity. There was plenty of attention to Trump's inanity at Davos.

The Supreme Court is not functioning as it should. They seem to have become a kind of Lifeguard Service for Trump -
sensing when he is in trouble and somehow always finding a way to rescue him.
They would have to overturn the earlier ruling. I guess it would depend how deep the hazard was for him.

See Paula Jones. The Supreme Court ruled that a sitting U.S. president is not exempt from civil litigation for acts committed outside of public office. Clinton settled.

It's the kind of statement that a Supreme Court should be able to uphold. Unfortunately...

In normal circumstances it would be "inappropriate". Given Trump's threats to Canada it seems that a stronger word should be used.

Trump was desperate for there to be mass street violence in DC on January 6 2021. Amazingly, the counter-protestors didn't take the bait.

And I would also say that they involved courage on those women's behalf. I recall Trump threatening them all with lawsuits after the 2016 election. They had something to lose. (Pathetically Trump fitted these threats into his tribute to the fallen at Gettysburg, from the podium there as I recall).

You will see my sentence continued into the next item, and it only referred to minors. I had no reason to doubt Carroll or those other accusers. All of the other accusations I recall (a woman on a plane, a journalist at Mar a Largo) seemed entirely plausible and confirmed a pattern.
