In the latest Disaster Management amendment bill 2024, the govt has eliminated provisions, such as relief in loan repayment.
This will negatively impact disaster affected communities that are already in debt.
The same govt has waived loans over 7 lakh cr for corporations.

Amazon will make bumper profits this Black Friday. Time for them to pay more in tax This week we were at Downing Street. We handed in a petition of 110,000 signatures, demanding the government close tax loopholes for Amazon.

Amazon must pay more tax.

Why?

Amazon would not be able to operate in the UK without an educated, healthy workforce. Or without roads and infrastructure. Or without a police and fire service.

We all pay for these public services. Why shouldn’t they?
