It's deeply frustrating and then the actual game suffers from being a trial for a lot of the combat mechanics they would solidify in Origins and then later perfect in Odyssey, so it's annoying and boring and it still feels like less of a waste than Rogue!!

It's somehow a shittier and more forgettable game than Assassin's Creed unity, a broken mess with bad mechanics and a wasted story that came out on the exact same day on purpose for some reason

It's incredible how they had a crazy popular hit by mostly abandoning all the Assassin's Creed stuff and having a cool pirate game and then they immediately backtracked on all of that and made all of the cool pirate stuff way worse and more boring and then also racist and stupid.

This already exists, it's called Assassin's Creed Rogue, and you play as an Irish guy who quits being an assassin after he causes the Portugal earthquake and then joins the templars and eventually kills Adéwalé, the awesome black bosun from Assassin's Creed 4.

What I had heard is that, quite literally, at the very least sherlock holmes having personality WAS under copyright, but I am reading that the lawsuit that set to establish this was struck down with prejudice, and also that the two stories being litigated aged out of copyright regardless in 2023.

My understanding is that all the good Sherlock Holmes after arthur conan doyle learned to write good is still under copyright protection so people are stuck writing Sherlock Holmes in the original way where he just sucks and is an asshole and everything is boring.
