I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door. I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights. I choose to exercise my constitutional rights. These cards are available to citizens and non citizens alike.
Sign the pledge to stand strong against immigration raids and the racial profiling of our friends & neighbors. Targeting and deporting hard-working essential workers who have been struggling for a path to legalization for decades is just wrong. ufw.org/immigrationr... #WeFeedYou

In summary: itβs not that ultra processed food kills us,
1. it addicts us,
2. we over(dose) eat
3. and that kills us
Deadly but with more steps and therefore ~controversy~

Substituted acorn squash for pumpkin and pomegranate seeds for currants. It reduced much more than expected during baking, but this Pumpion pie turned out delicious!

My sheep-farming grand uncle recently told me that he had to find a way to get rid of his sheepβs wool because it was a waste product.
Shocking state of the clothing market - only 1% wool.

Juan has spent 10 years harvesting sweet potato in CA. While the machine picks up most of the vegetables he often has to get on his knees and dig out the sweet potatoes the machine left behind. He does this up to 10 hours a day 5 days a week. #WeFeedYou

The upside of tariffs is that small, alternative businesses might be able to compete in a marketplace where everything is more expensive, as long as they find creative local supply chains (a narrow but existent set of businesses)

Printed, physical receipts are an additional cost that particularly impacts small-to-medium businesses, decreasing margins or increasing costs for customers.
But if receipts were modernized, we might take a closer look at how retail works (and doesnβt work) for us the customersβ¦
As most stores track each personβs purchases (by SKU) anyways, requiring receipts for returns should be obsolete.
The requirement to have a physical receipt just dissuades people from returning items (which saves the store processing and restocking labor costs)
Most receipt paper is thermal paper.
Instead of ink, thermal paper uses Bisphenol-A (BPA) and -S (BPS) as color developers.
These are Endocrine Active Chemicals (EAC) which block or imitate hormones in animals and humans.
So people who touch receipts or tickets regularly increasingly wear glovesβ¦

Over 2/3 of the US Economy is Consumer Spending, but consumers only get thermal paper receipts for their records.
Customers are at an enormous disadvantage data-wise.
Data is collected about them every time they make a purchase at a chain store in America.
