Really enjoying the gameplay loop of Tiny Bookshop so far. There’s enough mechanics to make it feel like there’s actual strategy, but not too much to be overwhelming.

It’s also very fun to go to an IRL bookshop after playing and see books you just recommended to the NPCs

Good point! Thumbnails aren’t a magic bullet but they’re certainly important

I’ve avoided putting my face prominently in cover thumbnails because I’ve never been sure if my face is recognizable enough to draw clicks. Usually my go-to look is based on what Smooth McGroove did like 15 years ago tho

The thumbnail meta for cover artists these days seems to be:

- Action shot of musician
- Game logo
- The main character

Gonna try an A/B test with my usual format against my attempt at this meta and see what happens
