What all this really is is a bunch of people who absolutely should know better have an addiction to a particularly awful social media platform and just refuse to acknowledge that this is a problem for themselves

Can you explain why the Europeans are sitting back and allowing this farce to take place. I dont understand why they are not calling this out.

To the press who have been saying Trump might support Ukraine, Trump might get tough on Putin, Witkoff is misleading Trump, etc...ask yourself this. If you are now saying Witkoff is being "naive", maybe you are the ones being naive, as you have been this entire time.

Since 12 years I observe how many people, not only from the political extremes, fall for Russian propaganda narratives and disinformation. Sometimes even people who are critical of Russia believe anti-Ukraine narratives and refuse to listen to Ukrainians or people who know Ukraine.

It seems that in the peace talks, Ukraine is standing alone against Russia and the US. This is a betrayal by America and its substandard negotiators. It's time for Europe to participate so that Zelenskyy isn't alone against these criminals with their own agenda.

Let me get this straight:

๐Ÿ”นTrump tells the EU to build up its own defences
๐Ÿ”นTrump threatens the EU repeatedly and signals unreliability as a defence partner
๐Ÿ”นNow Trump is upset the EU wants a buy-EU defence policy to build local manufacturing?

What did you expect to happen??

Ukraine is the biggest and most consequential of all the American betrayals | Simon Tisdall As the war enters its fifth year, itโ€™s time for Europe to take the fight to Putin on its own terms and tell Trump to get lost, says Guardian foreign affairs commentator Simon Tisdall

On the anniversary of Russiaโ€™s invasion of #Ukraine, Simon Tisdall goes off on one (in a good way).

It is kind of weird.
They left us because our King levied taxes on them they had no say in.
Set up their own constitution to avoid tyrannical rule by a King.
We stripped our King of almost all powers.
They wind up with a President allowed by the other branches to behave like a King.

Europe can defend Ukraine or face Russia alone. There is no third option. - Euromaidan Press Three years of sacrifice bought Europe time. Europe is spending it on porcupine metaphors, fake peace talks, and moral cowardice.

Europe is watching Ukraine slowly bleed to deathโ€”and making excuses for why it cannot act.

Hanna Hopko, Roman Sohn and I highlight the excuses for inaction, why they don't hold up, and what Europe must do:

It doesnโ€™t really matter *why* Trumpโ€™s desire to destabilise & divide Europe precisely mirrors Vladimir Putinโ€™s - whether kompromat, self-interest, naked bigotry or something else l. What matters is that Europe treats both regimes like the enemies of progress & democracy they so clearly are.

The trajectory from, โ€œTrump will give Ukraine to Tomahawks to attack Russiaโ€ to โ€œTrump has starved Ukraine of Patriots to help Russiaโ€ is the single greatest example of the failure of people to understand what Trump is and has always been.

The lessons are crystal clear: appeasement doesn't work, half-measures backfire, and dictators only understand strength.

Ukraine is showing us the way - defending democracy while we debate. Europe needs to stop wringing hands and start acting like the democratic superpower it could be. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ
