Washington acquired that pick from Memphis at the deadline in the Marcus Smart trade — the Grizzlies would then drop from 2nd to 8th in the Western Conference standings.

Quite literally the best case scenario for Washington.

I’ve been tremendously impressed with Will Dawkins so far; it’s clear he’s learned a thing or two from his time with Presti in OKC. It’s early, but feels like he went 3-3 in the draft last year.

If DC can land a franchise guy like Flagg or Harper, their rebuild can really start humming.
