Excellent - another feather in the cap for beaver reintroduction. We have to do everything possible to bring all insect species back from the brink.

In the UK we have damaged the natural environment so badly (e.g., insect species have declined by 70% over the past 30 years), so the top down approach only works for a small number of apex predators.

It's hard to feed an apex predator if you don't have the food chain below it – we have to restore nature 'bottom up', not 'top down'.

Great to see that benign neglect works so well, but it would be fascinating to see what impact large herbivores might have had on the speed and nature of rewilding. Admittedly, that's a different project...

It's slightly incongruous that most of the footage was of traditional farming (with huge tractors), but it's great that they're doing this. Hopefully, more natural regeneration will come to the fore over time. Best of luck!
