04.06.2025 17:23 β π 445 π 131 π¬ 16 π 1Six "key truths" about climate change:
-It's real
-It's us
-Experts agree
-It's bad
-Others care
-There's hope
People who understand these truths are more likely to become part of the solution. Spread the word.

The majority of people β56% in the US!βare worried about climate change, but not activated.
Why not? Most feel helpless, hopeless, and don't know what to do. So more fear won't activate them. Rather, knowing what to doβand being invited to do itβwill.
Where to start? With a conversation today. π§΅
I go a little overboard sometimes and tell students their phones are toxic. A few weeks ago one said something like "at least it can't kill me." I really do fear they are killing our young people's potential. This is an important read.
11.04.2025 01:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The rationale for this cancellation is climate denial.
There is no dressing it up, there is no tiptoeing around it.
Yet climate change doesnβt care if we believe it. It will destroy our homes, multiply insurance rates, wreak economic havoc and more β regardless of our opinions or voting record.
The Trump admin is dismantling Freedom of Information Act offices. Then the offices send out emails like, βHello, the FOIA office has been placed on admin leave and is unable to respond to any emails.β The lengths this admin will go to ensure zero transparency with the American people is astounding.

22.03.2025 21:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01. You feel powerless? Donβt know what you can do to resist the rise of fascism?
Here is an answer: Good Things.
Fascism inflicts pain and harm as a matter of doctrine.
Kindness, care and conviviality defend us from it.
The more we build community, the less it can take root.

The NASA office of technology, policy and strategy as well as the office of the chief scientist are both being shut down, and its overall science budget may be slashed by as much as 50%.

So much warming and change to ecosystems. For those who come after us the only moral solution is to curb greenhouse gas emissions now.

Very much worth a watch if you have not yet seen the PMβs brief and moving speech to Americans and Canadians.
βFrom the beaches of Normandy β¦to the streets of Kandahar, we have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours. We're always there, standing with you."
Did you know that Christians who take the actual Bible seriously are often on the front lines of climate action?
I know this may be a surprising & jarring claim in the US, where βevangelicalβ has become synonymous with opinions + positions completely at odds w/ Christian theology.
Hereβs why:
On climate, did you know that only 11% of people in the US (and even smaller percentages in Canada, the UK, Australia and beyond) are dismissive?
Yet because their voices are so loud and persistent, people often think theyβre 50%.
This is why I advocate so strongly for using YOUR voice!
A fantastic interview with Canadian Scientist Katharine Hayhoe about solution aversion manifesting as science denial. A logically and emotionally intelligent perspective.
