Serrano talking about her sister taking fights for $50, $4,000 for championship fights. Not uncommon. In California, the minimum was $100 per round, now, as a result of a policy brief on boxing I led, the minimum in CA is now $200 per round. Still not enough, but a good move in right direction.

For the change from 2 to 3 minutes for female division, pay also has to be addressed. Boxing is brutal for anyone - male or female - perhaps solution is at the world champion level: start with 10 3-minute rds. Then move towards 12 3-minute rds.
