The call is UTTER BOLLOCKS! This is not true. Don't trust them. Politely disengage and don't speak to them.

Is the real story not that "risen to more than four times their original £97m price tag", that seems a bit bigger than paying people reasonable expenses for travel to a project site, which in itself seems reasonable for the value of the project.

I'm saying that there was a failure in security but you don't need to shoot someone dead to resolve that issue. Shift left.

Your response was that you would shoot them dead, without immediate threat to life. Shoot to kill is not a reasonable response to every threat.

UK does not have the US gun culture, so even private property owners can't go around shooting people. Prefer to keep it that way.

Exactly my point - another government can potentially access to the data, regardless of contract and ownership. I'm referring to risks to data that are real. Strategy of ignoring or minimising people's concerns around it helps fuel mistrust and potentially misinformation.

The US Cloud Act poses real and recognised risks. IT providers' data handling depends on contract terms, which can change, diluting original protections. The core issue is lack of trust in government and tech companies, particularly regards to how deeply personal health data can be exploited.

If there is a reduction in tonnage, its got to be going somewhere else. Introducing booking slots for vans didn't suddenly reduce waste, domestic or otherwise.
