We need a variety of housing that guarantees that if you grew up somewhere in Connecticut, you have the opportunity to return and continue to build a life there. 🙌

When we don’t build enough housing for those who grew up in a community to return when they’re ready to work, start a family, or retire, that changes the character of the community.

💡 Westbrook Commissioner Ryan Engels lays it out clearly: change — despite what opponents to reform may say — often takes the form of communities FAILING to build housing.

Pro-Homes CT’s Amit Kamma facilitated an interactive “data walk” around a selection of graphs regarding Connecticut’s housing choices. Overall, the data shows that housing choice in Connecticut is limited, but has been increasing over the past few years.

🏘️ Last week, @pschousing.bsky.social held its “The State of Housing in Connecticut 2025”, which aimed to present, publicize, and start a conversation on the report they produced regarding the state of housing in Connecticut.
