I spoke to Oot Scotland about why despite the abuse I receive as a trans woman of colour in politics, hope must ALWAYS win π
08.07.2025 14:37 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A year ago today I fought for my local community, achieving the second best @scottishgreens.org Westminster result in history π
And I wouldnβt change it for the world, weβll keep fighting for that better world, no matter how much the government tries to push us down βΌοΈ
SCOTTISH GREEN MEMBERS βΌοΈ
You have one week left to vote for your next MSP candidates!
Backed by cllrs, former MSPs, activists and party officials, this slate of radical green women are looking for your support π
Lets make sure Glasgow has socialists on the ballot πͺπΎ
Politics can be done differently π
MSPs arenβt just our voices in parliament, theyβre our local champions as wellβΌοΈ
If selected and elected weβre committing to doing just that!
Scottish greens, check your emails! Itβs time to choose your next MSP candidates π
Nothing about us without us.
The diversity of our MSP group is tantamount for the 2026 election and beyond.
Our movement is expanding - we must take all of us together π
Greens members, please keep diversity in mind when voting in this selection π
Absolutely honoured to be included in this list π
The amount of support Iβve received from both fellow candidates and party members in this campaign period has been monumental, I hope I can continue to win your trust!
With voting open tomorrow, remember to #RankWomenFirst and be the change π
Thank you so much Joanne, absolutely honoured to be included in this list π
Your support means the world to me, good luck to all candidates on the list!
π¨REMINDERπ¨
We no longer have gender balancing so No matter how youβre voting please follow the lead of @sgpwomen.bsky.social and RANK WOMEN FIRST π
The Glasgow greens have never had a women represent us, we can change that!
Glasgow Green members π£οΈ
ICYMI: the radical Glasgow greens campaign has been endorsed by cllrs, fmr MSPs and now even another candidates in the race π€―

Itβs me!
25.06.2025 08:46 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Across the world weβre saying a wave of younger, more radical and progressive politicians breaking through to challenge the far right.
Uniting together communities of all colours, all faiths and taking their lived experience to the office.
Mamdani has won for all of us π
Iβd greatly encourage members to watch the hustings from this weekend.
Itβs clear Glasgow is ready for change, itβs just clear yet who will change it - weβd be honoured to have that opportunity π
Weβre now in WEEK 2 of selections!
The hustings proved Glasgow is ready for change, weβre ready to be the ones to make it βπΎ
We must connect with communities, listen to working people and offer a defence against hatred. Any less will see our party kicked back into the long grass.
5 years ago today I was referred to a gender identity clinic.
I am still waiting to be seen.
Odds are - I wonβt be seen for another 10 years. Vital healthcare is being withheld from myself and thousands of others and the establishment does not care.
How do we even fight that?
We deserves change. Glasgow deserves change.
Iβm fighting to be Glasgowβs newest socialist Green MSP, but Iβm not fighting alone.
Vote Ellie #1
Vote Iris #2
Vote Seonad #3

15.06.2025 16:32 β π 15 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0What a way to spend a Sunday, now my feet bloody hurtβΌοΈ
Just done Five (yes 5!!!) hours of canvassing between ACY and the Hillhead ward π
Great to hear the appreciation of our local cllrs hard work and the support they have got for it - thats what it means to build the grassroots π
Glasgow stands proudly against genocide.
From South Africa to Israel, this will be an Apartheid free city.
Stand up, fight back, be heard.
When this is over, when Palestine is free, will you be able to say you did everything to stop this?
Had a great time at the Refugee fest ceilidh and barbecueβΌοΈ
What a lovely afternoon full of dancing, laughter and joy π
Fantastic evening out in Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart for our great candidate QβΌοΈ
So many people excited on the doors to #VoteGreen1 on the 26th of Juneπ
Iβve certainly got a good feeling about this one π
The disability cuts by the UK government are shameful, forcing 400,000 into poverty.
We deserve better than this π
But they will dictate how our new economy works in the most immediate decade after independence
09.06.2025 16:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm not disputing that. We are part of the United kingdom and thus we are part of it?
But to put forward a stringent plan at Thais tags would be ridiculous as it would hinge on the terms of independence in the first place
We are the plan to replace them. The idea that Scotland is reliant on England to exist is a lie.
Yes things will change, thatβs kind of the point of elections.
Well yes states come in all shapes and sizes, that I agree with.
09.06.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Which weβd replace with our own schemes? 97.6% of our energy is already renewable generated? The state would not simply cease to exist just because itβs not being controlled by London
09.06.2025 14:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Because half of the stuff we can do it devolved to UK gov. We have 60% of the waters (which just isnβt counted at all cos itβs UK wide) and a massive chunk of the energy infrastructure, those two alone make us competitive on the international stage.
09.06.2025 14:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well yes, because the money going into creating the block grant from Scotland would be collected directly by the government.
Weβre not already sovereign and weβre not subsidised by England - we have booming industries which weβd easily leverage.
