What is the pearl?

I think because basketball selects so much for height it’s got a lot of players who don’t particularly love the game. If you’re 6’8 or taller and athletic it’s the best job you can get even if you don’t love the sport. You only have to beat out other freakishly tall people.

De’Aaron Fox is a good player but he’s not close to being a max player in the second apron era.

The Spurs need to recognize that Wemby isn’t an elite offensive player. Historically great helpside defender but offensively he’s like what if KD was even taller but was way way worse at dribbling and shooting.

Hot take: Wemby’s ceiling is 2nd greatest Spur. He’s too weak and his center of gravity is too high to ever be able to bang with true bigs and he’s just a pretty good shooter. #nba #spurs

Officiating in the NBA is terrible just because it's so inconsistent based on the player's reputation. You don't see the NFL let corners tackle receivers and it not be interference because they're a "physical defender", but the NBA let's guys with the right reputation get away with murder.
