I think one of the stumbling blocks for character animators learning how to do action scenes, is that by moving the camera, you've essentially turned the background into another moving character.
Its worth looking into how principles of animation apply to the environment. Like "Line of action"

Agora has a good course on the whole UE pipeline from the animation side, but it's on UE4. A lot of things transfer to UE5, but some small things (like where to find certain options) don't. Still, it's a good start agora.community/courses?c=14...

Also just an interesting thing with animating for an RTS: there are really strict time/frame limits. Many peak of actions need to happen immediately, like 10/15 frames
