Want to start reading Superhero comics, but are intimidated by the massive lore/hundreds of back issues? I got ya.

One of the reasons I think, possibly foolishly, that what I do is important is that I've had a number of older well-off cishet white men tell me that I've changed their opinions. Not turned fascists around, but made well-meaning people with bad opinions reconsider them a little.

I'm torn. On one hand, sure they were lied to; on the other hand, they're also willfully ignorant of even the most basic functions of the government. They're also fine with brutality and racism.

"Fix your heart or die!" is a good slogan, I think.

A quick "whoa, really? that's really fucked up, man" from a white dude to another white dude for expressing a conservative opinion is (sadly) one of the most effective ways to change that white dude's behavior. Not usually the underlying beliefs, but the behavior. It gets in their kitchen.
