Radical liberals in Congress are trying to shut down the government to achieve their crazy fantasy of open borders, ‘transgender’ for everybody and men competing in women’s sports. If they succeed, they will stop critical Veterans care and assistance programs. For instance, during a shutdown: VA will not provide Veteran career counseling or transition assistance program activities. The GI Bill Hotline will be closed. VA benefits regional offices will be closed. VA will cease public affairs and outreach to Veterans. VA will not permanently place headstones or maintain the grounds at VA national cemeteries. VA will not process applications for pre-need burials. VA will not print new presidential memorial certificates.

In a statement, VA press secretary Pete Ksperowicz says "radical liberals" in Congress are shutting down the government to achieve, among other goals, "'transgender' for everybody."

But they’re great. And they’re brave in our inner cities, which we’re going to be talking about because it’s a big part of war now. It’s a big part of war. (13:53 – 14:02) But the firemen go up in ladders, and you have people shooting at them while they’re up in ladders. I don’t even know if anybody heard that. But — and I said, Don’t talk about it much, but I think you have to. (14:02 – 14:07) Our firemen are incredible. They’re up in one of these ladders. It goes way up to the sky, rescuing people. (14:08 – 14:19) And you have animals shooting at them, shooting bullets at firemen that are way up in death territory. You fall off that ladder, it’s over. It’s over. (14:20 – 14:29) They don’t even have to inspect you when you hit the ground. And you have people shooting bullets at them in some of these inner cities. We’re not going to let that happen. (14:30 – 14:38) So I always mention the firemen because that’s actually a big problem we have. They are unbelievable.
