This plane flies very high to collect data from the whole troposphere.

This plane flies lower to collect data within the lower portion of a hurricane.

This plane doesn’t fly into hurricanes. Turns out NOAA’s aircraft help with a lot of research, much of which has to do with the ocean, fish, and biological life parts of the mission.
