These are functionally the same as a regular fetchland if you are turn one grabbing a surveil land. (Crack in upkeep) Very underrated for sure and one of the lowest hanging fruit for finishing out a land cycle in commander decks.

I would quit this game that I’ve played for 30 years over this, and never look back. Some content creators would quit. TCC would go nuclear on WoTC. Multiple people in RnD would leave, jeopardizing future sets. I just don’t think Hasbro can force WoTC to make something that disruptive.

Yeah but uhh not doing external IPs were not a betrayal of the values of the company and many employees.

Reminder that she is a very litigious person and WoTC legal is very cautious.

Harry Potter stuff is going to make the rounds regardless, but please remember Hasbro *already has* the license, for years and years, to make games.

WotC knows it's radioactive, and you're going to see a lot of canaries in the coal mine if it ever happens.

Would they really risk losing the support of so many content creators, and losing the talents of so many WotC employees? There’s a cost benefit here that can never add up.

I hope people continually speak up on this until WoTC is forced to finally say HP is a nope never not gonna happen in no uncertain terms. But it might never happen, for legal reasons, because that lady loves to sue people.
