A solitary Coprinellus micaceus (Glistening inkcap) yesterday. Nobody told him it’s February.

Dog found a spot she likes.

Much of the photo is taken up with a freshly plowed field, with tan clods of soil and tan pieces of corn chaff. Our pheasant is in profile, tail to the left and head to the right. The head starts with a white, short, downcurved beak. There's a patch of bright red at the eye, giving away to a purple and blue upper neck and a white lower neck. The back, visible folded wing, and visible flank have six different color schemes, involving tank, black, dull red, white, and pale blue. The long tail feathers are tan with black bars. The bird's down in a furrow so the belly and legs aren't visible.

There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come.
