My current act of petty rebellion is filling my tiny, quaint and very British village library with (mostly) queer horror.

I don’t like teaching preschoolers either but I’m not going to claim trauma or a mental health issue that doesn’t exist to get out of it. People with legitimate trauma and mental health issues already have trouble being taken seriously, I'm not going to shit on that.

I’m working with a new teacher today and apparently she told management she couldn’t teach preschool classes because of trauma. Turns out there is no trauma, she just doesn’t want to do them. 🤬

So I got the flu shot today and I’ll get the Covid one next time when I go back in a month.

The doctor strongly recommended the flu vaccine but seemed less enthusiastic about the Covid vaccine because “it’s not the dangerous disease that it used to be.”

Sigh

Went to the doctor today to discuss my blood pressure medicine (working beautifully) and while I was there I asked about this year’s flu and Covid vaccines.

I’d like it if the reboot of Murder She Wrote is actually Jessica Fletcher killing someone every week and elaborately framing someone to settle some decades old grudge.

It’s cool enough in the evenings to open the windows and/or go for a walk. I’m so happy to be able to be outside again I could cry.
