David Letterman is right: you can't appease a tyrant.

Jimmy Kimmel was suspended by ABC after pressure from the United States government. This is a direct attack on the First Amendment.

Everyone who values freedom of speech should be outraged — and they should speak out.

“Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1” or mostly known as “Whistler’s Mother”. Above all the wonderful historical and artistic details of this portrait, it’s message is what stays with me. A message that is relevant and beautifully said by Thomas Schlesser: “…to paint is above all to love.”

We must end the scourge of gun violence in America.

We also need to have honest conversations about the ways internet platforms profit from fear, hatred, and division.

Both are vital to the future of this country.

But the main reason why I came back to this piece is because it reminds me that the absence of empathy produces monsters. Indifference to other humans and their experiences produces monsters. Remembering to always practice feeling for others and deeply question feelings of separateness.

The question “What do we have to do in order to endure and transform this moment?” is as important as “Who do we have to be?”
Going deep is as important as going wide, a critical mass is as important as a majority, and changes within us will cause changes in the world we see.

Saying goodbye to August! A month that mostly focus on caring and celebrating my family. I didn’t achieve a lot of artistic goals but achieved connecting with my loved ones.
