Does Mike Johnson seriously think that sending House Republicans home to get yelled at by their constituents for a week in the middle of a shutdown (while still trying to blame Dems) and delaying seating the newly elected Dem who would be the 218 vote to release the Epstein files is a savvy move?

I can understand why Dems are focusing on healthcare during the shutdown, but doesn’t that send the message that “we’ll kind of tolerate the lawbreaking as long as you give us a win on one narrow issue"? Shouldn’t Dems demand that a budget has to have some constraints on Trump’s corruption?
