this is a contrived example with simple clauses, obviously.

It doesn't address concepts like tense, mood, or aspect.

And it doesn't yet address valency (which is effectively the number of arguments a verb can allow; e.g. subject, object i.e. intransitive, transitive, dietransitive)

Following this pattern:
