jkr openly condemning palestine so once again if it isnt clear all transmisogynistic politics claiming to "defend real females" is ideologically the same kind of reactionary nationalism, heterosexualism, and turning "weaklings into soldiers" that zionism, hindutva, etc are

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

Y'all, I am *begging* for the world to turn silencing your phone in the library into not just a social norm, but something about as rude as screaming in the middle of the room for no reason, with similar repercussions.

Why should I write better when a machine can do it for me?
Because actually no one can do it for you, because your voice is unique among all the people on earth. Siri never petted a horse's neck. Alexa has never been ghosted by the captain of the football team. But you have lived, your heart is beating, you have suffered, and you have something important to say. It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

"Age verification" laws are actually "upload your ID or get your face scanned to access every website, ending anonymity and associating your identity with everything you do online" laws and if more people understood that they would not be down for this authoritarian nonsense

a huge point that decorum-obsessed Democrats are missing is that everyone I know is literally boiling with rage 24/7 watching their country fall to fascism and desperately want to hear a politician acknowledge that and say "I am also angry"

Podcast cover for Episode #8 of "Future Knowledge" titled "The Library: A Fragile History." The design features portraits of the three guestsβ€”Abby Smith Rumsey, Andrew Pettegree, and Arthur der Weduwenβ€”arranged in a grid. Surrounding them are collage-style retro-futuristic elements including a classical statue head, a vintage computer with the word "NEW" on its screen, a modernist observation tower, and abstract architectural shapes. The title uses bold, blocky typography, giving the cover a vintage sci-fi aesthetic.
