Yes, KEY LARGO was also 1948.
Great film, indeed.
But, the crime is not that Olivier won - and deservedly so.
It's that Bogart was not even nominated.

The perfect movie doesn't exist, but John Huston #BOTD sure came close with THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE (1948).
My personal fav Huston film, it features one of Max Steiner's finest scores. This scene bounces from giddiness to harsh reality.
The music supports it splendidly.

Loved Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in 2003's FREAKY FRIDAY, which had a charm and buoyancy that made it perfect summer fun. It's good to see Lohan back in a signature role, but FREAKIER FRIDAY trades those qualities for strained, screechy wackiness.

American Eagle is actually very "woke." They have DEI and donate to "woke" causes. They also produce their synthetic-blend jeans offshore, sometimes in factories associated with labor abuse.

But all is forgiven if buying their jeans pisses off libs.

The thing is that it played in the same theaters for OVER a year during its initial release.
The first re-release was in 1980 when EMPIRE premiered.
These photos are from later in the summer of '77 I believe.
