Time to remind people about the Commercial Pattern Archive — it doesn’t have instructions and search is a bear but there’s two hundred years’ worth of clothing patterns in here including all the big names new and old:

Oh interesting! If your library has Hoopla, you can check out digital copies of albums! Would probably work for having Hoopla on a phone, and the phone synced to the car (if that's an option for your car)

It was knit top down and the bottom is finished, with the end of the yarn pulled through, and measured against an extended measuring tape. There are seventeen inches of working yarn left over, already attached to a darning needle so I can work the end in.
I don't mean to brag... But I won yarn chicken! And it fits! Now on to the sleeves...

Nervous but intrigued! I'm going to have to do this at some point on one of my WIPs

20.02.2025 17:08 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Finished knitting fingerless mittens for my MIL! A late gift, but we have plenty of cold days left this year (and it is very nice merino wool my husband bought)

A dark blue king sheet fashionably nestled into a hamper in my laundry room. Two colorful patches with printed rabbits are sewn in, with two lines of stitching around them.
The same dark blue king sheet, same laundry room, but flipped to show the back. The backs of the patches are paler, and show two lines of machine stitching. The snout of a black dog is peaking into the frame from the right.
A satisfying mend on a king-size top sheet. Not my best work, but probably the biggest holes I've ever patched on a sheet. Seam allowances are nestled between the two seams (snoot of likely suspect for holes in 2nd photo)

I also convinced my husband we should buy a disc player when we moved in together, and have now resumed my childhood hobby of using the library (and library hold/transfer requests online) as my own personal Blockbuster. He's been impressed with what a selection we've been able to find!
01.02.2025 20:23 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0I listen to audiobooks on Libby, free through my library card, pretty much every day - doing yoga, while baking or cleaning, in the shower, etc. And I've been able to keep up with the newest issues of comic books I'm interested in for free through Hoopla!
01.02.2025 20:22 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Reading a book before bed is the best thing ever. Novel, manga, comic, whatever it might be, it is such a great feeling to be able to sit in silence and get sucked into a world before falling asleep.
Plus, a book doesn't emit blue light
pick up an analog hobby, I'm so serious. something that holds your attention and is fun for you, literally anything.
Collect and identify bread tags or something, just don't fall into the trap of doomscroll paralysis again
