We seem to be in a period where you really have a ton of solid and fresh alternatives to D&D doing the things people typically use D&D for. PF2e is going strong. SF2e just dropped. 13th Age 2e is looking damn good. Weird Wizard is wonderful. Draw Steel has my serious attention, and Daggerheart too.
