ENCOUNTER 2:3 XNG SHARD67000 DAGGER-2663 A shifting machine, larger than even the greatest wyrm, erected and tall in the empty dust bowl. Its structures and wires, still taut but rusted, stretch into the skies as tall as the Black Spire. It squeals and howls in pain when it moves. Its agony can be heard for miles; a death rattle as it begs for the sweet release of expiration. The side of the creature is marked: XNG SHARD67000 DAGGER-2663 SERIAL: E/A 392282867 - DNR - Dagger-2663 is a living machine designed for large-scale planetary excavation. It was brought here by the CONTROLLERS to help mine SAND for resources. Finding nothing of value, it was left alone, still following its instructions to dig endlessly. When one track burned out, it continued on, looping itself into a circle and digging itself further in. Dagger-2663 can communicate simple ideas through its onboard ten-character seven-segment display near a control console in the central tower. It can only be communicated with via a number keypad interface, requiring laboriously typing numbers multiple times to display the correct letter, with a maximum of ten characters per message. It wishes for repair, to continue doing its job, faithful as ever. In absence of this, it wishes for death. If repaired, location and information about Dagger-2663 can be traded for up to 6 Water.

This is doubly true for works from 30+ years ago. Will I go see a new Mel Gibson movie? No. Will I watch Maverick, or Payback? Yes.

I find using a PDF as a table reference really grating. Can't do it at my physical table due to not really having the right equipment, so I'm either staring at a tiny phone trying to find a rule in 300 pages or I'm on my PC doing the same thing. With a book I can just go to that page.

Theres actually an old ass Matt Colville video where he does this with a friend who is running the monsters for him.

If I were too make new art-pack for Draw Steel monsters, instead of player ancestries, what kind of monsters would You like to see?
I would prefer to do a mix of monsters, so we are not talking a specific band, but more random assembly of creatures.
