I've done IC work as an engineer for a long time and I rely on documentation and IDE hints all the time -- no shame!

I do a lot of work with dates and times, and strftime.org was one of the places I ended up going to a LOT

Looking forward to being able to get the book as an ebook! I might also get a paper copy for the office library here in Tokyo if I can find a way to ship one over

I got 400 grams of a lot of spices to portion out and it was definitely way more than I imagined 😬

I don't enjoy buying things that are hugely personal that I can't try out first, like pillows, mattresses, or... shower heads.

Bought a new shower head and was hugely disappointed by how much it reduced the shower pressure and area 🫠

I was so impressed by the ship design and how it really evokes a sense of motion forward like a drill even without external reference

I was trying to walk out of a parking lot and a car cut across me while backing up. The driver kept backing up and staring at me while gesturing for me to walk in front, and I kept saying no and trying to detour behind, which made him keep back up an even more ridiculous amount 🙄

I fretted a lot about buying a clothes dryer when I bought the house, but it's definitely been worth all the time and stress saved, especially with two dogs (I type as I wash a bunch of stuff Noa threw up on today)

My hope is that he did return to Jake and his family periodically and it's a family secret for some reason.

Something I don't enjoy about Disney+ closed captioning is that they often instead of describing the sound, explain them in terms of what they want you to feel. Instead of "trumpet fanfare" they'll say something like "triumphant music"
