Thanks for the tag and thinking of me but I'd be looking at a D5 and I'm not yet in a safe position to grab one unfortunately!

I must admit, I've been looking at classic BMWs... 😅 But my wants are firmly for an auto one, and I haven't found one that meets my budget it.

I like the Orion, but I can't imagine the CVH engines do them any favours for lasting to classic status!

A nice treat for Noah since he's here to stay. Got it for a great price. Needs some work as it's been sat for years but it's a good working base so far.

I have seen this. It is a pretty stunning example and while it does have signs of some not great rot spots starting, it's probably still one of the nicest HLs you could currently buy.

I'm sort of cursed in a way by them. It will hurt to get rid of some cars because I love them so much. But somewhere in this, I still need to build that Triumph 2000 too on top of everything else going on, too. At least that will be tax free! I can make an excuse for that, even with the thirst.

Hey Martin, thank you for the kind words. 💖 We're getting there. Just got lots of planning ahead and lots of money managing. But there seems to be a nice ray of sunshine for us waiting at the end of a long, but methodical plan! All part of getting my life back in order.

Hey Warren, it is a tricky balance but we reckon we have some very solid future plans for us here!

There's two more vehicles desired for next year. Both of them, things I/we have wanted for a very long time. One of them is so ridiculously cheap to tax and run and absolutely bulletproof and for once, isn't rare! I won't delve into it too much as it's very finance dependant but fingers crossed. 4/4

Finances add up when you have this many cars that are relatively tax heavy plus insurance and fuel. Definitely want no more deep projects either!! Especially after the ££££s spent in the past few years on garbage... So time to think forward a bit more. 3/4

I've got my eyes set on future vehicles to finally settle down with and a bit more sensible. Ralph doesn't fit into that because of parts scarcity and cost. I can just about keep Noah afloat thanks to the stash. But it won't last forever. Thankfully the original seller of Ralph may be interested 2/4

Hey,so I've been pretty down lately so I haven't posted often but here's an update. Ralph here will be up for sale in the next few weeks. A fleet restructure is needed for financial reasons, and a want for change. Felix Fiesta work goes on and Noah the Montego gets to stay for now.

That's lovely! Me being me, ideally I'd want a D5 one because grumbly 5 cylinder truck noises. (I miss that from the XC90!) At the moment I unfortunately have neither the space or cash to take on something.

But thank you for thinking of me! I'd still like one someday and always enjoy spotting them

Crazy to think Merle was just a humble, yet forgotten airport ambulance for Filton sitting at 11k miles when we bought him, and his hard work as a daily has got him up to 18k (and change) with the vast majority of that being towing miles!

Hehe I've become a bit of a Mondeo anorak in recent years. 😅 Almost like my family had several Fords of that era; including Mondeos! Merle is our fleet's 3rd. 😂 I love a daily used Mondeo. Merle is now over 18k miles after being 11k miles when we bought him. He puts a lot of work in for the fleet!

Mildred the 1995 Ford Mondeo 1.8 GLX

They've also toned down the colour selection. Petrol blue for example which is one of my favourite colours from the Mondeo line up is notably absent. That was the colour of our MK1 we used to have, Mildred.

If you compare this to my 1997 MK2 brochure, the 1997 version is packed with way more pictures and optional specs to show off the new model. And while this one isn't devoid of effort, you can tell it's been toned down massively.

Same year as Merle so I've had a look in my brochure, and the colour is 'Light Nordic Green.' The wheels it comes with just seem to be standard Ghia alloys. They don't seem to show lots of pictures of wheel options later on. Probably because of the MK3 replacing it the same year.

Wow that must be the rarest thing wherever it goes! If I remember correctly: wasn't this sort of how the US was going to get the Proton Saga?

Milenco Glace 13 inch wheel trims

Silver lining? Milenco make a set of trims that are fairly close to the originals and are still sort of available. Perhaps I will hold off on fitting more until we have replaced the wheels with those that let us cable tie them!

No worries! One day I want to test them all and make a proper definitive video about my real unbiased thoughts. Just not yet as that's a lot of money to spend! 😅 I was really hoping Pioneer might have priced it more competitively, so was very disappointed. Lack of competition I think.

I found although it does have nice features, Blaupunkt were putting the premium on it being what it is. Not on quality. The buttons were plasticky, the dial was the most wobbly I've ever seen on a head unit.

They charge for looks. The components inside them are the same as units 1/4 their price.
