Frankly, I'm amazed that they have resurrected the last government's Rwanda plan (or something equivalent to it), they are further to the right of them in every other way.

Unfortunate enough to suffer from the conditions of being both British and having Asperger's. I despise felon presidents and their enablers. I politically lean left and I am also Pro-EU. My pronouns are He/Him.

15.11.2025 11:09 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I ENTIRELY understand why a party way to the left of Labour needs to exist.
I have NO IDEA why it needs to be Your Party, other than ego.
The Greens are RIGHT THERE. Corbyn will be 78 at the next election. And it's a shambles. Give up, lads.

So there's money for runways and motorway tunnels but not for electric trains. Yet another thing for the #NeverLabourAgain list.
14.11.2025 13:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I should apologise for my tone-deafness, I posted that in a moment of anger at my country.
I should commend India for it being on the cusp of total railway electrification, something that western countries like the UK completely fail on.
I am aware that some so-called leftists are also putting flags up on light posts; you are not helping. The ordinary citizen who might be offended by flags on lampposts won't be able to tell who put them there. They will assume its fash.
11.11.2025 08:32 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I should make my position on the flags clear:
- I don't care if someone is displaying them on their own property. As long as its not obviously offensive, I don't mind.
- I take exception to them being attached to street furniture (lampposts, guardrails, etc.) as that is deliberately provocative.
If this is true - this should have happened a long time ago.
The Green Party alongside campaigners have been calling for this - and it's good to see maybe they've finally listened.
Will reserve relief for all children being lifted out of poverty until we know it's happening.
They've hung their flags upside down.

10.11.2025 19:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I am trying to work out how to do the same with mine but they don't have "unauthorised articles attached" as a type of fault.
Also they apparently can't deal with reports of more than five lamps at a time, wonderful when the location in question has ~25 light posts mass-vandalised in the same way.
two flags attached to a large road sign, flapping into the road and causing - at best - a dangerous distraction
Ignoring the pathetic, tragic jingoism of popping a bunch of nylon flags on the posts of road signage along a bypass, but these are such obvious hazards it should genuinely merit a national restraining order on the flag twats.

They will have plenty of time to reflect on their car crash level stupidity after they've been obliterated at the 2029 GE.
Unfortunately, all the rest of us will be left facing the consequences.

I don't have a single train class I dislike but I do have an honourable mention.
The Class 730/0; I don't like the interior layout, the areas with 1-1 seats are awkward, what was wrong with having sideways facing flip downs. There's also a seeming lack of elbow room in the window seats.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.
Here's how to turn it off.
First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

A career racist is leading polls in the UK.

Labour have already been in power 16 months.
That's not long enough to fix 14 years of Tory pain. But it should have been waaaaaay more than enough time to gauge the scale of the problem.
So to be coming out now with "things are even worse than we expected" as a cover for tax rises is ludicrous.
Dear GOD if you want to save money in the asylum system
1. LET ASYLUM SEEKERS WORK
2. FAST TRACK STATUS FOR EVERYONE FROM CLEARLY UNDAFE COUNTRIES like Sudan, Syria, etc
3. Run an asylum accommodation system that is NOT FOR PROFIT #r4today
The US government shutdown is now the longest in history. Trump's administration broke the record set during his first term.
Let's not forget: Reform UK tries to mimic MAGA - with all its chaos and absurdity.

I'm guessing she's not been to Southall station either... That station also has bilingual name signs, in Punjabi.

Interesting factlets about Digital ID...
Government is proposing a massive extension of right to work checks, to sweep up not just employees but all individuals providing services otherwise than to consumers. So the whole gig economy and even including eg barristers (shock!)... /1
Good luck doing that, especially at stations that mix local and intercity trains. Euston, Birmingham New Street, etc.
