I've seen him run at a full tilt to try and get around a counter-protest, although he was sucking air afterwards. Chris Dacey is a well known local troll. He's been active since the convoy. I've seen him do what he did to your group at a French highschool going back to 2022. Except back then, he wasn't a streamer. Every far-right event that's happened in Ottawa since 2022, he's pretty much front and center.

I heard somewhere he is on ODSP now, but that is unverified. He gets some money from his channels, merch and donations, and maybe Elon money, although he only has 21K followers. The Wellington Street regulars are not a wealthy group of people, they generally are quite impoverished.

Oof, I don't know. Calling Dacey a leader of anything is a stretch. Leadership sort of implies power, influence, and the ability to mobilize people. I would characterize him as definitely more of a grifter, certainly a propagandist, and if I'm feeling generous, an activist, of sorts.

Sounds pretty on brand for OPS. Christopher Dacey aka Stiff Richard lives in Vanier and has been at it for 3 years with this schtick. Dacey and Pleb are definitely not journalists, they are pro-convoy Twitter content creators, both pretty far to the right and peddling online reactionary politics.

His book about the convoy was pretty uninspiring. No central ideas, just a vague retelling that directs most of the criticism for what transpired to the Federal government, and Trudeau, for being dismissive of the grievances of far-right political actors, who are not acknowledged as such.
