These *are* curious times.

It might just be a vintage shop, but to me everything is always political, and so this next project has been created with a lot of intention and care.

I’m still actively writing but my focus is shifting. I’m interested in themes of memory, grief, collections, and the objects that represent us.

There’s such an appetite out there for unique, well-designed and quality goods that are sourced sustainably, and the vintage and second-hand market fits that brief so well.

It’s my belief that one important way to fight rising fascism is to look after your neighbours and foster community. I’m excited and proud to say that our little shop has already proven to be a safe and joyful space for all kinds of folks, from autistic teens to elder trans folks.

The carbon tax is gone, but the pain at the pumps is back.

The same could be said about a lot of the mainstay characters in and around politics. I would almost always dispute the ‘nice guys finish last’ cliche except in business and politics.

While watching the debate I’m also keeping a close eye on my cat, who had to be sedated today to get some X-rays, and is still high as fuck. He’s currently staring into his own soul in the mirror.

I will still watch it. But I won’t enjoy it nearly as much as I could.
