"Yes. What's the problem?"
"It glows ALL the time!"
"Yes. It has sharp edges."
It reminded me of an old encyclopedia set we had when I was a kid that tried to give an example for algebra pretty much as follows:
"How can we solve for how many worms are in this can?"
"I dunno-"
"Let's say there are 12 worms in the can."
"Okay, it's 12-"
*equation that shows it's really 10*

I used to be quite good at math. I was even doing calculus by the 2nd grade, made it to a "mathematics team" sort of thing in 6th grade.
Then I was introduced to algebra and PFFFT!
I still like to think of this as technically being the THIRD time Musk has paid entirely too much for Twitter.

Yeah, I bet they could "confidently say" that our data would never be kept after verification THE LAST TIME they fucked this up.

So until our tears are dried,
We'll drink and drink and drink and drink and then we'll drink some more!
We'll dance and sing and fight until the early mornin' light!
Then we'll throw up, pass out, wake up and then
Go drinkin' once again!
Last October.

A screenshot from the factory building game, Factorio. Lots of machines and tangled conveyor belts weaving through and across one another carrying various types of items. This image is fairly clear and was taken with Windows Snip Tool.
The same view as the previous image from Factorio, but this time captured with ShadowPlay, nVidia's built-in screen-capture software. It's incredibly blurry compared to Snip Tool or even previous Shadowplay captures, for some dumb reason.
Boy-howdy, Shadowplay sure is neat. I love how it takes blurry-as-shit screenshots and fucked-up videos, all with just the push of a button. I'm so glad to have this software developed in-house by the same "industry leader" who made my GPU's chip for maximum feature compatibility.
A+ job, nVidia.
Imagine treating published literature like Youtube shorts. :/

08.02.2026 03:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Probably didn't hurt nVidia's decision-making at all to consider that Windows support for ARM is... "there", and nVidia's push into embedded systems/robotics has pushed them towards more Linux support in that capacity, too (Jetson). But only recently did they seem to care about rendering...
