I always tell my friends it’s good to introduce family to phones, my grandma has had every smart phone for a good 10 years and it helps her keep in touch with family and playing all her little games.

I think it would help society as a whole if education about dementia and how to work with those that suffer from it was more prevalent.
I feel like people want to pretend it doesnt exist, and when the time comes they have no tools to deal with it.

Especially for people who live with dementia, there’s so many people that tell their parents, “No mom you retired 30 years ago.” When really they should just be telling her something else like, “Mom you’re on vacation.” or “It’s your day off today.”

Our family’s way of thinking is she took care of us so we take care of her.

I do understand sometimes that extra care may have to be done but at the same time I’m lucky enough that my family are full of people who work in healthcare, the plan for my grandma (she’s 86 but she’s in good health and is an avid Instagram user) is for my aunt to take care of her.

And please try and visit your loved ones whenever you can, I hate to be that guy but being told my a patient that they wish I was their son is a little heart breaking.

Hi, I work in nursing, if you have family members in a care home please do not be rude to staff, we are with your loved ones 24/7 and just being angry doesn’t solve anything. We never communicate how much of us goes into this job.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I downloaded Fortnite cause of The Simpsons collab and honestly if they wanted to keep me playing, just add a Simpsons mode. There’s 37 seasons worth of content they could add, like who the fuck is Fishsticks?

Just for awhile
