A chart showing the economic costs of climate-related catastrophes over the past 12 years, compared to those of the Great Recession, Great Depression and S&L crisis over the same time duration. Climate costs already outpace the Depression by $7T to $4T, though they still lag the Great Recession, which is about $13T.

Climate change is already as costly as the Great Depression & will soon match the Great Recession in financial impact. Though everybody wants to split the two, climate policy is actually economic policy.
