WOAH its a costume/puppet!!!

He has three sharp little claws (representing the walking legs of a caterpillar, but being more functional for a monk I guess,) and wears a tan monk's robe. He is drawn pondering with one thinking finger at his face, while a mothman lurks behind. The mothman is based on the giant leopard moth, and is holding a yellow-orange halo above Mo. (The mothman isn't canon at all, I just thought it would be a cool addition to this drawing.) Background is an outdoorsy, night scene, vague grassy shapes and a dark sky with some stars; mostly blues, teals, and greens.

stories 3 looks so fuckin cool man. it's really neat that they're not confining themselves to the "lighter and softer pokemon-esque" tone for this subseries and pivoting to what looks to be a full on JRPG-style plot. everything about it is giving me MASSIVE fire emblem vibes

the secret is that i'm used to drawing big scary monster hands where i'm way more comfortable "cheating" with the anatomy because they're not SUPPOSED to be realistic. except this comes back around to bite me when i want to draw an actual normal person
