19.11.2025 23:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.
Shoutout to all my fellow champs, chiefs, and kings. β
se que para sanar tendrΓ© que esperar,
hasta que el corazΓ³n este cansado
del dolor por no parar de cantar
acerca del quien he amado.
el tren de la vida sige llendo,
sin importar que no te deje de mi mente.
quisiera siempre estar esperando,
am sure it'll be better when it's always in our field of view with meta raybans :)

Pools of blood around a hospital so large they could be seen from space.
An absolute nightmare.

30.10.2025 00:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0the idea with TEEs (in a perfect world) is that physical access, or even control over the host system like a hypervisor or OS, would not be lead an adversary to see into what it is running or the secrets on the TEE
obviously the trust assumption has not aged as well as the idea
defense is hard!
fair, but i believe signal runs their code on top of all the three main cloud providers, which in theory should cover most outages from individual providers
i'm waiting for a post mortem or RCA as i am not too familiar with their infra
global network reliability and performance is not there with smaller providers
it's very expensive to set it up, and even more so to maintain. a small or even medium sized cloud provider would not setup such a system since there are very few customers that would even need it or notice it

probably, at one point, the simplest way to set everything up?
Chat Control is the latest example of "But think about the children!" (BTATC) policy proposal that ends privacy as we know it. It would have an algorithm scan your messages, detect whether its illegal content, and then report it to authorities. What would actually happen: mass surveillance.
06.10.2025 09:58 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0yes to all of the above
have just been using "Following" and "Popular With Friends" and rarely go into the comments due to this
this will not protect my future children, this will not protect children throughout the EU, this will not protect children throughout the world
04.10.2025 09:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0i do not want my privacy to be breached by a system the backing lawmakers do not trust
i do not want the government snooping the conversations with my partner, lawyers, doctors, family and friends
@citizenlab.ca has reported that numerous EU member states have been consumers and users of invasive spyware like Pegasus from NSO and Graphite from Paragon
this legislation will seek to perpetuate the brazen breach of personal privacy such spyware enables to everyone's personal conversations
not to mention the exemption denoted under "personal secrecy," these are largely undemocratic
the exemptions are also an admission from the backing lawmakers that this is NOT secure
moreover, the basis of the "solution" presented is unproven and plagued with uncertainty
false positives could potentially be leveraged as a way to increase the scope of the system, as personally privacy has already been breached
this is infuriating
client-side viewing is client-side snooping of the citizen's private messages
it IS a backdoor to end-to-end encryption, there's is no other way to frame it
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EUβs Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

there seem to be way more articles on the technical details of malware rather than the social engineering aspect (in my experience)
