Lil video timelapse of the Dan Ketch painting I did. I try to build the values in an underpainting so I roughly know where everything is going to sit before adding details and colors.

I made an inspirational greeting card with a spinning Ken Masters. So to all those frustrated out there: "Don't give up because I am... Shoryuken do it!"

This is a simple thing, but the way this phone call from UNCANNY X-MEN #185 is depicted is pretty brilliant, actually.

And here’s a lil timelapse of the process of painting this. I love Procreate! It’s helping me practice my in-head visualization. It’s not as concretely valuable as using references (please do!) but I love the experience of rendering the surfaces in my head to really comprehend the lighting.

Yeah, I’d argue it’s better. I once showed a friend Wondershowzen and just felt bad in real time. 😂 Xavier is definitely better as a straight absurdist approach to the American problem lol

A pen and ink sketchbook drawing of Karin Kanzuki putting M. Bison (Dictator) in a chokehold, with him tearing up. Both fighters are worn for wear, but Karin clearly got the better shots than her Psycho Crusher combatant could put down on her. I used hatching to shade the characters, which I drew in a anime-influenced style. It emphasizes movement, because Street Fighter characters need to flow.

More development over the underpainting! I’m loving how this is coming out. Painting on a screen surfaces makes a huge difference painting confidently. Almost makes me wonder how I worked all this time without it. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Feel free to ask any questions about my process so far!

Fiddling around with Procreate and painting Kenpachi Zaraki, my favorite Soul Society Captain in Bleach. Dude was straight to the point and dodged the monologue.

Very pleasantly surprises by “The Book of Clarence.” Life’s made better with knowledge and some kind of faith.

Fun lil snake piece I did a coupla years ago. I start all my sketchbook works with ink directly, but with this one I started with the color marker. It was a fun exercise to visualize the bends and overlaps of the serpent before rooting them in with ink.

Self portrait I did waaaaaaay back. Started with ink on paper and colored digitally. It was fun trying to replicate those old comic weird machine shapes.

Randomly got the urge to listen to Skee-Lo while I was out drawing, made a silly brushpen sketch about it.

Their brand-and-pop-culture-laced dialogue gets more and more jarring the older I get. It feels like another form of sheltered. Thank you for dedicating art and work to shedding light on this.
