Dear Lucy

Three weeks ago you wrote me a bizarre letter in an attempt to hold on to voters who Labour have for too long taken for granted in Gorton and Denton.

First, I’d like to give my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I've been busy on the ground with Hannah Spencer talking to voters about the issues that matter to them – lowering bills, protecting the NHS and rebuilding our public services.

You'll appreciate most of your letter is out of date now, but I'm sure you'll have seen the poll that came out today, that puts us in first place and Reform in second. Labour are a distant third and it’s now clearer than ever that your party cannot win in Gorton and Denton.

If you are as concerned about stopping Reform as you proposed in your letter, the course is now clear: in the spirit in which you wrote to me, you should now urge your members and former voters to back Hannah Spencer on the 26th February to stop Reform and make hope normal again.

Kind regards,

Zack Polanski
Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales

P.S – Hannah looks forward to saying hi in Parliament!

"Come, let's away" is the first sign of characters growing that I've been confident about so far.

Even if Nus Braka's dialogue sounds like someone doing a (fairly accurate) Russell Howard impression with "wanked," "spooge" and other juvenile brit crap sprinkled often throughout.

Well done ST:SFA.

In response I am setting up a company to oppose "Sex Matters" entitled "Public Money Matters."

It's gunna just be a sock account posting, "Sex Matters can get fucked," as often as possible.

I saw a taping of a show he did recently and he was inspiring.

Facing the ever more apparent horrors of the world with a heart full of poetry and love is not only a perfect rebuttal to the bastards but it feels good too.

Heartily recommend when it comes out from GoFasterStripe.

Solidarity.

If Labour wants to stop Reform *they* should withdraw.

This is huge - and proves exactly what we're saying.

We cannot have a moment of complacency - only the Green Party can stop Reform.

Vote Hannah Spencer and the Green Party on Thursday in Gorton and Denton. 💚

Humiliated in the media, denied healthcare, attacked by the human rights watchdog, shut out by the Supreme Court, bullied by social services and the police, disadvantaged in the jobs market, death figures covered up by the State, harassment de facto legalised, and attackers deified by Ministers.

I think they all thought he was "one of the lads" and "following orders"* when he bizarrely accused K Mendoza of being antisemitic on Twitter.

*He was at the time. He has since grown a spine in some matters. Still an ableist MFer, though.

researchers: this condition is underdiagnosed
advocacy groups: we'll spread knowledge that it's underdiagnosed
healthcare workers: some of us will use expanded diagnostic criteria now
patients: wow we finally know what's up

tabloids: the condition is mysteriously spreading. this is DANGEROUS.

What's mad is when working class people rightly say that we're worse off now than we were under the Tories, people who want for nothing tell us we're lying.

I see two things in Gorton and Denton: palpable frustration and the need for wise voting to stop Reform | Polly Toynbee After speaking to locals, I still can’t predict the result, but a big, combined effort will be needed. Without a united front the left may splinter and lose, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

The betting has the Greens at 1/2 and Labour at 5/1. If you actually want to keep Reform out, rather than making a rhetorical point, you can only rationally argue for Labour to step aside.

We are mums. Daughters. Sisters. Survivors.

We understand what safety really means.

Our voices should never be used to justify exclusion or discrimination of trans people.

Right-wing parties (including Labour) use racism as an excuse for their thievery.

While ministers fill their pockets and refuse to invest in public services, they can point to immigration and pretend that it is "overuse" that has broken them.

There are no "reasonable concerns."

The possible exceptional future that *might* have saved us through innovation has been sold to the white elephant of AI.

We can only now enjoy the long, slow march to extinction because the blandest and meekest of us all* bought into what some shiny prick was selling.

*Starmer, for us in the UK.

Like most problems with AI this too is not a problem with AI it's a problem with the mad gold rush around AI.

I have my issues with LLM and generative AI, but the really big problems are very much human behaviour, exploitation and public funding and regulatory capture by big capital.
