I’ve never been able to go but now I have young kids so it’s definitely not in the cards for many years for me (even if I do plan and save for it over time). The New Jersey Creation convention is closer to me and may be more likely.

One thing about #StarTrek “The Search For Spock” that I love is Bones’ resoluteness when presented with the danger of transferring Spock’s katra back.

For this historically risk-averse man to immediately go, “I choose the danger” is a testament to his deep love for his friend. Underrated scene 🖖🏻

Since I wasn’t able to attend #STLV, I carved out time to rewatch “The Wrath of Khan” and “The Search For Spock” over the past few days.

TWoK is more iconic but I enjoy TSFS so much more. The music, the Klingons, the ships, spacedock, stealing the Enterprise (and its demise)…so good #StarTrek

The cosplay at #STLV always finds a way to one-up itself. This year has been SO good. I wish I was there but I’ll continue admiring from afar. 🖖🏻

Favorite part of #STLV so far was hearing Ronald D. Moore intone with equal parts confidence, pride and humility: "I wrote that line," when a fan asked during the anniversary "Yesterday's Enterprise" panel: "Who wrote the line, 'Let's make sure history never forgets the name Enterprise.'" Very cool!

This is one of the coolest #StarTrek things ever made. This is merchandising done right. Hopefully there will be more.

As I predicted, Star Trek Discovery I think will age pretty well in the years to come - especially in appreciating is sat time risky, sometimes failing yet always earnest attempt to deal with messy moral and humanist issues in a Roddenberryian way that so many modern popcorn scifi franchises lack.

Definitely more setup. Need a follow up. I just was hoping for more this week

The horror angle was definitely good. The villain was truly evil, but it felt like they were trying to make it have more impact on a character than it really had time to develop. The interdimensional stuff was cool but I have more questions than answers. I hope there’s a follow up!

There’s a longer term direction they could go in with this that I’d be interested in seeing but until then, I’m ambivalent. I liked the teamwork aspect of the A story. They didn’t do enough with the B story character to make me care.

#StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds “Through the Lens of Time” was very middle of the road. There are some interesting potential pathways introduced, but both A and B stories felt a little clunky and there was not much to get out of this adventure of the week. Time will tell once more unfolds.

I just saw an old man driving a couch with an American flag on the back in downtown Frederick. Yes, you read that right. I wish I took a picture.

It’s a hard day to be an #Orioles fan. Not the season we wanted to have and as a result, most of our expiring contract players got traded. Some hurt more than others but sad to see a bunch of them go.

Gonna miss:
1) Cedric Mullins being a vacuum cleaner in CF
2) Morton’s post game interviews

For those seeing this now, I’ll save you the math…it’s nearly a 43% price increase.

The outfits are great. It’s more than just the outfits. It’s so much fun. I almost wish they saved this episode of the 60th anniversary. Have fun watching!

“A Space Adventure Hour” is an immediate all-timer. It’s an incredible self-reverential love letter to #StarTrek that balances humor and stakes, provides great development for La’an and Scotty, and reconciles a small little canon question in a satisfying way. A perfect episode of #StrangeNewWorlds.

Possibly…what’s weird is that the breakfast blend is Arabica and not even Colombian, so I figured I’d be insulated for a while. I regret not stocking up more.

My wife and I drink McCafe Breakfast Blend coffee and usually order 3 30oz canisters of grounds at a time. That usually runs us about $42 every month and a half from Walmart.

Today’s order was $60 for the same amount. I’m guessing the tariffs are finally starting to catch up. I hate this.

I have heard great things about Supernatural. 15 seasons is a bit daunting from scratch though 😅 maybe when the twins are older and I have more time for TV haha

I just finished watching the first season of #TheVampireDiaries and 😱😱😱😱

Screw the reputation that shows on “The CW” have…this show is absolutely wild and the characters are great. So many unexpected twists and turns. I have trust issues now 😂
