Great news! We have funding to train up to 20 Texas teachers in data science over zoom thanks to funding from WeTeach_CS (which is part of UT Austin). We will go through different spreadsheet-based activities that mix science, math and computer science. #iteachmath #iteachphysics #csed

We helped with a girl scout STEM event at OSU Marion today. There is a merit badge for shapes in nature that includes fractals. Chris talked about self-similarity in the universe and Scott showed the scouts how to draw a Sierpinski triangle #iteachmath

Am I the only one who noticed that @kevinroose.com says in this episode that winning a prestigious academic prize would be a milestone for AI, without remembering that it was only a few months ago that AI won the Nobel Prize for chemistry with AlphaFold?

That's very generous of you! I can't make it but I would recommend that you reach out to the folks at the Discrete Math Project which is connected to San Diego State University. We use their curriculum in Ohio. The conference is in San Diego so they may be able to give it to one of their teachers.
