That makes both no sense and way too much sense. Thanks for the info.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret knowing the answer to this, but ... what is "matrix programming"? Like, when I try to look it up all I'm finding is math and computer programming concepts. Obviously not what that person is referencing and when I try to expand search terms, nothing useful.

Really enjoyed the concert. Have a wonderful Sunday and safe travels this week.

I am glad I never learned to use this feature. I have a feeling i would never close a tab again.

Considering that by default I START with 6 tabs pinned on my main browser. Then my other browser on desktop has two tabs open. So 8 before I start working... I just can't imagine people that claim less than 5 average. My average is probably only 15 or so. But outlier days are easily 100+

Thanks for the reminder about Bandcamp. Any advice for discovering someone new to listen to?

In this case, no. The hobonichi is high quality in a great format. The Techo (A6 version) is the right size to fit in a small handbag or backpack. The paper is a joy to write on and is FP friendly. Sometimes something costs more because its better. Partner uses theirs hidden in a cover. Not ConCon

02.10.2025 17:10 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah. It really depends on your use case and habits. We're a fountain pen household, the paper in $3 planners is just not going to hold up to the inks we use. That said, I've had equal success planning with using a pencil with $.25 spiral book and a $20 cute journal. Which is to say, not much.

02.10.2025 16:57 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This was the main selling point for us. People underestimate how important good quality paper is. (And how much that paper costs.) The paper in these is thin and doesn't bleed. Keeps the weight down and lets you use your fountain pens comfortably.

02.10.2025 16:53 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

For me? No. But my partner uses theirs and swears by them and the format. I think they use the Techo. Been using them for years. Always fills them up. For them, worth every penny.

Screenshot of lengthy Facebook post by user Marian Call reads: "I'm voting No on 1, No on 2. Because I'm on a mission to support the least attractive platform ever:

TAX ME. Please, tax me.

And tax people who are wealthier than me more. Tax the wealthiest a LOT more.

Maybe saying it sounds unpopular, but I don't think I'm alone. When I hear people around me demanding better schools, better healthcare, better public facilities, an end to homelessness, improved travel options, job security, accessibility, isn't that what we're really saying? TAX US PROPERLY PLEASE?

Because we've TRIED cutting taxes. We've been cutting and cutting *for seventy years.* Even when local taxes have risen, that's often because cuts at the federal level have pushed more and more responsibility onto the states, and states are shoving more and more responsibility onto the munis, who have the smallest tax base to deal with it, and face the most local pushback.

People wanting to go back to "the good old days" are reminiscing about a time when the effective tax rate on the wealthiest Americans was over 70%. I don't actually want to return to much else about the past. But I'd take that tax rate. A billionaire can still live quite a nice life as a $300,000,000-aire. Quit whining, billionaires. You're fine."

Screenshot of continued Facebook post by user Marian Call reads: "I have been to countries where people pay their taxes -- especially the wealthy -- and guess what? They're lovely. They're great places to visit and great places to live. And the envy I feel when my friends overseas or in Canada can simply go see a doctor when they don't feel well? Or a therapist when they need support? Indescribable.

I just don't think taxes are bad. I think we've been gaslit as a nation into thinking they're evil -- but very rich individuals and corporations have a LOT to gain by making us believe that. They've gained everything, in fact. The greediest have secured a level of control in the US that's unparallelled in the rest of the developed world. And the rest of the world is staring at us, with heads tilted, asking "Mais pour quoi?"

On the local level, my TAX ME PLEASE platform means I'll be voting NO on measure 1 and NO on measure 2.

Because the $50-500 these measures might save me, as a lower middle-class artist, are better spent on flood mitigation and playgrounds and our utilities and schools and ploughing snow and parks and the arts.

If there's a thing the city is doing that you don't like, this is not how you punish the city -- it's how you punish all of us. What gets cut when cuts come down? The fun stuff, the stuff that makes life here worth living. We've been trying cutting taxes. We've done it. And I'm done. Tax me, please. No on 1, no on 2."

Just because it is animated does not make it a "kids movie". KPop Demon Hunters is full of adult themes in both story and music.

I want to scream when I hear people being so surprised to like the music from some "kids movies when they are talking about an animated musical film.

Hello Void. Sorry about the screaming. It has been a week and emotions are high. If anyone had spare good vibes, maybe send them towards us for a minute?

The dog has cancer. I will not admit I love her dumb butt (running joke), but I am crying over this development.

It's been almost a year since doing this with my partner. It was a lovely way to renew our IRL vows. The site looks good and I think the guest section will really help. I don't remember how it was before, but I do remember being asked questions and answering with "uh, let me look that up" a lot.

The saga begins with The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

Any avid fans want to suggest a reading order? I'm going between published date, regardless of series, and just reading each detective in order starting with Poirot.

Ooh. Sounds fun. Might try that the next time I need to fly outside. I will say that the last time I was out and coming BACK to Anchorage, it was VERY clear that it was a plane heading to Alaska.

I watched the episode, so I know. But for those that didn't, when will the shoes be for sale? While I don't have an American Girl doll, I am interested in purchasing better doll shoes for a Japanese BJD. (Like no sarcasm, I know you're a comedy network, but if you do an actual shoe line ...)
