An update: Josiah Young, who cast a ballot for Riggs, spent his entire childhood in Jackson County. He's a 20-year-old American University student who was studying abroad in Spain during the election. He presently has no remedy to get his vote counted. #ncpol

The North Carolina Court of Appeals is expected to soon direct elections officials to toss out the votes.

NC group sues over at-risk military and overseas ballots The North Carolina League of Women Voters and a group of impacted voters have sued to block the state from going forward with giving such voters a 30-day cure window.

JUST IN: NC League of Women Voters and group of military/overseas voters from Guilford and Durham counties have sued to prevent state from imposing a 30-day shot clock on those who voted in last yr's Supreme Court race without a photo ID (as had been explicitly allowed at time of election). #ncpol
