It is indisputable that Brexit has been an economic disaster, and notable that none of its political architects have paid any price.

A Trump supporter started murdering his way through an assassination list of Democratic law makers FIVE MONTHS AGO. He murdered my colleague Melissa Hortman, and her husband Mark — and attempted to assassinate my dear friend John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. I was also on the hit list. WTF

Good. Dems not backing down in the slightest in the face of Trump's call for their execution. Keep this up, Dems. Treat Trump like *he's* the violent criminal and the real threat to our Constitution order. Because he is.

VERY funny that Labour are being pointlessly cruel and haemorrhaging support from their base and yet none of what they're offering is ever going to be enough for the people whose approval they're seeking, WHO could have predicted it

After another week of banging on about immigration, Keir Starmer's ratings fall to their lowest ever level.
At what point do Labour strategists start to think that maybe this isn't quite the winning strategy they believed?

Up to 50,000 nurses could quit UK over immigration plans, survey suggests
Exclusive: union leaders say proposed changes are immoral and could threaten patient safety if there is staff exodus
'Nursing leaders told the Guardian the plans were “immoral” and treated highly skilled migrants as “political footballs”. They said a mass exodus of nurses would threaten patient safety'.
Combine this with the number of UK universities shrinking or closing their nursing programmes....

How Politicians (mis)Perceive Policy Salience
Several recent studies have found that politicians aren't very good at estimating public support for policies. But we have little idea about whether politicians are good at knowing which issues are more important to voters. Our new publication has a first go at answering this question rdcu.be/eQGm4

What are the challenges facing the government's AI action plan
Sir Keir Starmer has unveiled proposals which he says will make the UK 'one of the great AI superpowers'.
These were exactly the sorts of issues highlighted by media early in Starmer's push for greater use of AI in politics. Furthermore, the use of AI by public institutions is completely incompatible with current transparency regulations if it is too expensive to report on www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
