i think you can judge how free - or not - our political media is by the fact that elon musk literally did a sieg heil (twice) at a rally and it’s still seen as uncouth and overly partisan (in legacy media) to describe his politics as straightforwardly white supremacist.

I think perhaps the largest problem is the combination of wealth inequality and a system that does not hold the wealthy accountable for crimes and antisocial activity in any meaningful way. Elon seems unable to acknowledge that as an issue, even if not the worst one, because it benefits him so much.

Musk advocates white monoculturalism

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

As an American, I can say very confidently that this is not the model to emulate. It's bad if you're not a Nazi because this is Nazi shit. But it's also bad if you are a Nazi because it creates an organization so incompetent and hated that you'll lose most of your support in reaction.

Absolutely insane that our elites are not screaming about this. We have a generation of leaders who have completely failed to internalize the values of democracy. People of no conviction whatsoever. Truly the iron cage.

Ah I see. I guess I interpreted the "yucky" type responses as specifically being about the speakers reaction, rather than about an attempt at putting some kind of objective description to it. They seem like separate things, though "evil" etc are perhaps more useful.

So many unacceptable things about this administration, but one of the most disqualifying is that they simply refuse to acknowledge that they could ever lose an election.
