The is literally nothing more American and patriotic than declaring: No Kings.

There are ZERO mixed emotions about it. All of us here gladly welcome this new precinct, LONG overdue. Ask any of us who live here in Antioch and deal with the chuckleheads who like to come here thinking they can fool around. No more.

In your opinion, what role should police have?

We shouldn't have to trade our safety for a hypothetical use of LPR data.

26.07.2025 02:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That's why we need strict safeguards on the use and access of LPR data so they can only be used for specific uses, which should NOT include targeting nonviolent undocumented immigrants. But at the same time, our residents also deserve safe neighborhoods and actual criminals like this to be caught.

Man previously deported from US 7 times arrested after fleeing from police in Mt. Juliet The incident began when Mt. Juliet Police were alerted by an LPR to a stolen Chevrolet Cruz entering the city on Lebanon Road from Hermitage.

This shit is why I support installing LPRs.

Lining = liking

We still have too many vehicle break ins and stolen cars for my lining in Antioch and across town. Crime is trending down which is a good thing, but we can still do better.

One can support using additional crimefighting tools while still maintaining everyone's civil rights (including the undocumented). The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Stolen cars and other crimes continue to be an issue here. This is a helpful tool to significantly reduce this problem.

Doesn't track you any more than the device in your hand right now does. Or every credit card transaction you make; or every store, restaurant or other public place you enter...

Why can't we Democrats be tougher on crime for a change? That isn't just a Republican thing.

We should have had LPRs years ago with our safeguards in place. They're doing wonders in Mount Juliet.

The GOP just passed a bill most of them vehemently disagree with β€” and that they know is going to harm their constituents β€” because they’re afraid of Trump.

Pretty pathetic stuff.

Normally, I’m critical of Murkowski getting more hate than her male colleagues when she votes for bad legislation.

Not in this case. She flat out said this bill sucks and she still voted for it.

I know she’s hoping the House bails her out, but this is unconscionable.

Very well said. We need to shout this from the damn rooftops if we're ever going to take our party back from the elitists and special interests who hijacked it. We DESPERATELY need to be the party of the working class once again.

These are deeply, profoundly, tragically abnormal times riven by cruel, hateful, reckless and ignorant people bent on dismantling our government, strengthening Putin, stoking fear, breaking our spirit, enriching themselves and ruling over the ashes of public liberty. We won’t let them succeed.

Why are ICE agents masked to begin with? Our law enforcement officers shouldn’t be anonymous. Ever.

I am positive that the folks who follow me already know this, but if you see a person being kidnapped off the street, put your body in the way.

Record it and get in the way.

Nashville is strongest when we look out for one another. What's clear today is that people who do not share our values of safety and community have the authority to cause deep community harm. Their approach is not our understanding of what a Nashville for All of Us looks like…

Nashville badly needs LPRs. With appropriate safeguards, of course.

Your point is also true. 😎

LPRs are good technology and are proven to work, allowing police to quickly track stolen vehicles and apprehend suspects.
