Finally got my crunch wrap and I'm hiding in my car shamefully getting ready to take a bite and the landscaper rides past at like he's trying to get his landscaping Segway to go back to 1955 blows leaves through my half open window and all over my lunch.

I love that stuff. It's so hard to find near me though. Maybe I should move some place with better beer...

Well got that scene done. Someday I'll be able to write an action scene that doesn't take a million times longer to write than the scene lasts.

Yeah, that's why I'm looking for a writing group. Mutual help with throwing ideas off each other and beta reading sections, if not the whole thing. I know reading someone's whole book can be a burden when you're trying to write your own.

I'm progress. Just have a couple more scenes to write and I can start editing.

This is technically the second version but I redid the third act along with half the second so I kinda see it as a first draft still.

I can't promise that I won't start randomly swearing regardless

Off and on for like 20 years 😅. Nothing's really felt like anything I'd want anyone else to see. But I feel good enough about this one that I'd like to find a writing group again.

My current story is historical fantasy with a bit of crime, bad relationships and snark.

I'm kind of in a dead zone for writer groups. But I just found a group on Meetup from the nearest city that meets virtually so I'll give them a shot.

I was going to look for a local writing group, but reading about other people's experiences with them kinda puts me off.

Just curious if anyone has had positive experiences with a community writing group?
