What's worth building
We're shifting toward building our own products. In this post we explore the framework we use to pick and develop ideas.
"We won't build anything that can't find paying customers in under 6 months."
We are starting a new chapter at Antropia.
This post explains the framework we use to decide what to build and how. It's part accountability, part manifesto.

On Risks and Rewards
Who really takes the risks at work, and who gets the rewards? A deep dive into ownership, compensation, and the case for worker cooperatives.
I've been afraid to publish this for almost a year. It's about who really takes risks at work, and who gets rewarded for them. Not a safe topic when you're building a company. But staying quiet felt worse.

Despite all of this, we still see Trufario as a huge win. It gave us the confidence to create and publish React Native apps in the stores, and we did it in only 40 hours, from its conception to its implementation.

We decided not to pursue it further, the main reason being that we created Trufario with the sole idea of solving our own problem. Publishing it was just the extra ball and we didn't have the appetite (and resources) at the time to do it.
03.12.2025 14:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
However, when we published and promoted it, it didn't catch on. The reason were some design decisions and the lack of some core features like multiple pets, multiple parents, timed events, and others.

An array of devices showing different screens of the Trufario app
Some time ago we created Trufario, a journal for your dog. It helped us inmensely understand and work on the reactivity of our own pup, Zeus.

We are well aware we don't have a huge impact yet, but what's key here is that we are doing something meaningful to us, no matter the project we're working on.

An illustration of a person working on a computer with the text "GIVING WHAT WE CAN"
We are making some internal changes to how we distribute our #GivingWhatYouCan program. From now on, some of our profits (2%) will go toward supporting open-source projects and creators.

That's why our next project is going to be open-source and self-hosted. We want to experiment with the project sustainability by offering a hosted version and a paid mobile app, still fully open-source.

We have grown an interest on self-hosted projects. Penpot, Postiz, n8n, or Solidtime are some of the ones we use the most. Not only they are incredibly useful, but they address one of the biggest concerns in this digital age: data ownership.

Three redesigns for an onboarding step of our app Trufario
Let's keep exploring and imagining. What if we remade Trufario today? We created the doggo tracker in only 40 hours, from concept to code, and it shows. Today we wanted to pay proper homage to one of our first apps, and give it a fresh new look. Which one do you like more? #appdesign #buildinpublic

We are revisiting the app that gave us the tooling for Antropia, Four Days.
Four Days introduced us to the concept of playful programming, deepened our knowledge on React Native, and helped us realise products are not just pieces of technology.

2. We honour focused time. That means we work a maximum of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. This way we make sure you get the most value out of our time.
3. We work async. We have worked in fully-remote environments for more than 5 years, and we will continue doing so for the foreseeable future.

We adapt to any environment, product or requirement to make your idea work. Over time, we have come up with a set of general rules that help us make this possible:
1. We offer a fixed rate, that means no offers and no hidden fees. Transparent pricing, for everyone.
20.10.2025 23:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0
2. We start working on bringing your idea to life. We show, we test, we get feedback, and repeat the process until you're happy with the result. As we say: while (!finished) { iterate() }
3. We help you thrive. We publish your app, train your team, and give you full support to own your product.
20.10.2025 23:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0
Do you want to work with us in some project? Here's how it works:
1. We talk, discuss your idea, its feasibility, your goals and how to get there. We agree on an execution plan.

Last year we managed to create an app for both iOS and Android in a whooping 40 hours. It was frantic and fun, and we wrote about it here: https://antropia.studio/blog/40-hour-app/
If you want to turn your idea into something real, we are here to help. Throw us a message and let's chat.

Want to bring it to life in weeks, not years?
Need to validate if it has market fit?

adbrew - Creative reporting and analytics for your ads
adbrew is your Meta ads creative reporting and analytics tool
Weirdly (for us), it's not a mobile app, but a web prototype. The only reason being that it matched the way we ourselves used the original Meta dashboard.
It supports multiple accounts, metrics, ad scoring, customized alerts, and much more. Go check it now!

We are very proud to honor our pledge once again.
This is a huge milestone we couldn't even conceive 6 months ago, when we first launched. In a world full of noise, polarization and exponential promises, this is what keeps us grounded: knowing that what we do has a positive impact in the world.
